Collins were appointed to carry out this 50,000sq ft refurbishment of The Smithson building on 6 Briset Street, Farringdon. The basement, ground floor and levels 1 to 6 were completed to a Cat A specification. New super-loo’s were installed throughout the building, along with a full MEP replacement whilst the basement benefited from modern facilities including showers, changing facilities and bike racks.

Further features included a balustrade balcony, three new passenger lifts, sandblasted exposed concrete finishes, a link bridge on level 5 and two spiral staircases connecting the upper floors. External works were also completed including cladding, curtain walling, window replacement, a new roof deck and a double height glazed reception and entrance.
