Health and safety in the workplace is of paramount importance within the culture and management of Collins.

It is the aim of Collins to achieve and maintain a safe and healthy work environment for our employees and contractors, working at premises and site managed locations and all others, who may be affected by its operations. Safety training for all staff, trade contractors and others associated with our operations is mandatory.

Our dedicated Director of SHEQ, Tony Turner, is supported by his team and together they are responsible for enforcing the company ethos, embedding a positive safety culture across all disciplines of the business and providing specialist advice, guidance and recorded site inspections on a daily basis. 


They also action directives from our Health & Safety committee that has representation from each role within the business.

The company holds accreditation in compliance with Safety Schemes In Procurement (SSIP) with Safecontractor, CHAS, Constructionline, PICS, BSC, OHSAS 18001, RoSPA and is also a Partner the Considerate Constructors Scheme which ensures benchmarks are set and site standards maintained. The Health & Safety Policy is continuously reviewed to ensure its effectiveness and to ensure that necessary changes are made when required.
