Collins were set the challenge to create a new home for the iconic London Dungeon within the Grade II Listed County Hall Building on London’s Southbank.  Working with the Merlin creative design team and specialist suppliers, the scope included intrusive asbestos removal followed by extensive structural slab removal and replacement and supporting column realignment and reconfiguration, diversion of existing primary heating and drainage pipework, new M&E, data and life safety services, a new 40 person themed lift and shaft, and a number of individual themed rooms spread both through and across 3 floors and wrapped around 2 courtyards.

A drop ride over 10 m high and a sub-basement river ride with a mechanised lift and chute along with various fright chambers and historical themed rooms with linked actor only corridors running alongside.  We also created back of house actor zones, administration offices, ticket offices and retail areas.
