All can be revealed at 265 Strand, our Cat A and Cat B fit out to create a new London campus for New York University (NYU).

This comes at a time when we can reveal a continuation of our relationship, engaging in new works with the installation of a signature staircase – supporting NYU in its ambitions to expand on their first-class education space in the UK.

265 Strand included extensive structural works on the 77,000 sq. ft building. The team undertook structural modifications to refigure access throughout the building and followed this with a high-quality fit out to create a contemporary, educational space.

The building now offers high-quality classroom and communal facilities over seven floors with two lecture theatres and flexible, multi-purpose spaces. To remain in keeping with its prominent location next to the Royal courts of Justice, the team repaired and restored the façade and replaced the windows, enhancing the appearance of the building and maintaining the architectural language of the neighbourhood.

Divisional Director, Christian Pakes, said: “265 Strand is an example of how structural modifications combined with high quality fit out can support a client’s space requirements and aesthetic ambitions in one programme. This seamless approach meant we could more effectively and efficiently achieve the final vision from the start. Now we are excited to continue working with this prestigious international brand who has entrusted us to continue working on its first site in the UK.”
