Collins has been appointed to deliver a £20m refurbishment and fit out at Coleman Street in the heart of the City of London.
Starting with a 60,708 sq. ft core-finished building with polished concrete walls and soffits throughout, the project will transform the space into high-quality Grade A office accommodation. The scheme will deliver seven floors of Cat A workspace, complemented by a striking Cat B reception designed to create a welcoming arrival experience for occupiers and visitors.
Located within the Bank Conservation Area, the development brings together buildings from the late 19th century, the 1950s and the 1970s, carefully responding to the site’s dual frontages onto Coleman Street and Moorgate. The design approach prioritises the preservation and enhancement of the surrounding character, including the retention and restoration of the historic façade at 63 Coleman Street.
In addition to the office accommodation, the scheme will introduce a double roof terrace across the upper floors and a substantial end-of-journey and wellbeing facility, supporting the needs of modern occupiers.
Duncan Redman, Divisional Director at Collins, said:
“We’re delighted to be appointed on this exciting City scheme. Coleman Street presents a fantastic opportunity to bring together heritage architecture and contemporary workspace, and we look forward to working closely with the client and wider project team to deliver a high-quality development that responds to its unique surroundings.”
