Collins is proud to announce the completion of the refurbishment and fit out of The Helix, a 21-storey student accommodation building in Wembley.
Following three years on site, the project has delivered 435 refreshed bedrooms alongside a range of upgraded communal spaces designed to enhance the student living experience. The scheme also involved significant remediation works, including the full recladding of the building to ensure it meets modern fire safety standards and regulatory requirements.
The extensive refurbishment addressed a number of legacy building issues uncovered during strip-out, requiring careful coordination and detailed reporting throughout the works. Alongside the bedroom fit out, the Collins team delivered high-quality amenity spaces including reception and recreational areas, a gym, café and private dining rooms, creating a vibrant environment for residents.
With its modernised accommodation and enhanced facilities, The Helix now offers students a high-quality and engaging place to live and study.
The successful completion of this project marks an important step in Collins’ growing portfolio of purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) schemes, demonstrating the team’s ability to deliver complex refurbishment projects beyond the commercial office sector.
