Collins were tasked with carrying out the completed refurbishment of this historic building dating back to 1892. The design is characterised by shaped gables, deep porches and the lavish use of terracotta ornaments. After 22 weeks on site the project was handed over Spring 2017.
Works included a full CAT A refurbishment across all 6 floors, including new roof plant area concealed within a new mansard roof, clearer links between each of the buildings and a comprehensive new MEP systems.
The project involved internal reconfiguration including structural alterations and the stabilising and protection of the original staircase, refurbished lift and new toilet cores. The brick façade and external features have been carefully preserved in keeping with this Mayfair Conservation Area.
