On behalf of InHealth Collins were brought on to create an exclusive private health care clinic within the newly refurbished 38 Chancery Lane. The project, spanning two floors, involved the conversion of the existing Cat A fit out to become an exclusive private diagnostic and healthcare facility.
The finished facility now benefits from various en suite client rooms, nurse areas, tech rooms, ultrasound facilities and WC’s. A new entrance has also been created on Cursitor Street. The fit out includes new steel and glass stairs, specialist acoustic ceilings and bespoke linear lighting, doors and joinery throughout.
One of the key challenges has been the installation of the 2no MRI scanners. Weighing in excess of 6 tons, the existing windows and stone had to be removed to increase the structural opening alongside a temporary propping scheme that was put into place to allow for the transportation of the scanners. Once in situ, acoustic ceilings, walls, doors and finishes had to be installed in order to mitigate the possible noise transferral created by the scanners when in use.
